Western Mindanao Command Chief Lt. Gen. Alfredo Rosario, Jr. met with Lamitan City Mayor Roderick “Oric” Furigay on August 30, 2022.
Lt. Gen. Rosario, Jr., together with Col. Frederick Sales, deputy commander of the 101st Infantry Brigade; WestMinCom’s Chief of Unified Command Staff Col. Elmer Suderio; the triad officers; and Lt. Col. Cyril Santander, Commanding Officer of the 18th Infantry Battalion tackled with Mayor Oric the importance of continued coordination between the local government unit and the military to sustain the peace and order in the city.
Mayor Furigay commended the efforts of the military to eliminate the menaces of society and keep the communities safe and secure. He also expressed his full support for all the endeavors of the command.
Meanwhile, Lt. Gen. Rosario, Jr. said that contributory to the military’s efforts is the good governance exhibited by the local chief executives. “Let us continue to work together to achieve a just and lasting peace here in Lamitan.” He also assured that the armed forces are always ready to assist the local government in all of its projects and programs.
