Lt. Gen. Edy Sutomo Rudianto, Chief, Badan Intelijen Strategis of Tentara Nasional Indonesia, visited the Western Mindanao Command on Thursday afternoon, September 1, 2022.
WestMinCom Chief Lt. Gen. Alfredo Rosario, Jr. received the distinguished visitor during his arrival at the unit’s headquarters at Camp Navarro, Calarian, this city at 2:00 p.m. The two high-ranking officials discussed the strengthening of bilateral relations, especially in the field of defense and maritime security on the southern frontiers.
The WestMinCom Team welcomed Lt. Gen. Rudianto with military honors on his first visit to the command. Among the WestMinCom officers present to receive the Indonesian general were Deputy Commander for External Defense Operations Brig. Gen. Arturo Rojas and the Unified Command Staff.
The Indonesian Government has established diplomatic relations with the Philippine Government since 1949. The two countries enjoyed cordial bilateral cooperation and mutual understanding since then. The two countries consider each other a great ally.
