Retiring Western Mindanao Command Chief, Lt. Gen. Alfredo Rosario, Jr., continues his farewell visit to troops.
On Monday, September 19, he visited the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade, 601st Infantry Brigade, and 40th Infantry Battalion, all based in Central Mindanao. He also paid a courtesy call on Maguindanao Governor Bai Mariam Sangki-Mangudadatu.
During his visit, he was received by the respective commanders of the aforesaid military units. He also met Governor Sangki-Mangudadatu at the provincial capitol of the Province of Maguindanao.
Lt. Gen. Rosario, Jr. said that he wanted to say thank you and farewell to the officers and personnel of the military units under his command before he bows out of the military service next month. During his farewell visit to military units, he also makes time to pay a courtesy call to local government officials to express his gratitude for their untiring support to the military in their area of jurisdiction.
After taking the lead of the most diverse unified command of the Armed Forces of the Philippines for more than a year, Lt. Gen. Rosario is scheduled to pass on his duties and responsibilities to his successor on October 4. His mandatory date of retirement is on the 5th day of October.
