Lt. Gen. Alfredo Rosario, Jr., the retiring commander of the Western Mindanao Command, made his farewell visit to the military units in Central Mindanao on September 23 to 24, 2022.
Among the units that he visited are the following: 1st Marine Brigade in Barangay Togaig, Barira, Maguindanao; 1st Brigade Combat Team in Barangay Pigcalagan, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao; 602nd Infantry Brigade in Carmen, Cotabato; 38th Infantry Battalion in Barangay Kamanga, Maasim, Sarangani Province; Task Force GenSan in Barangay Bula, General Santos City; 603rd Infantry Brigade in Barangay Milbuk, Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat; and the 6th Military Intelligence Battalion and the Joint Task Force Central headquarters, both at Camp Siongco, Barangay Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao.
The respective unit commanders received Lt. Gen. Rosario, Jr. during his farewell visit. He also took time to have his talk to the troops.
During his talk, Lt. Gen. Rosario, Jr. expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the troops. He also encouraged them to always give their best in everything they do, whether work-related or personal.
“There was a tremendous change in the security and peace situation in our area of operation since I assumed as the commander of WestMinCom, and I attribute it all to your hard work and dedication. I also would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of you. Thank you for all you have done. I urge you to carry on your good work for our country and our fellow Filipinos,” Lt. Gen. Rosario, Jr. addressed the troops.
The Assistant Chiefs of Unified Command Staff for - Civil-Military Operations, Col. Wendell Basat; Operations, Col. Jessie Montoya; and Intelligence, Col. Yasser Bara, accompanied Lt. Gen. Rosario, Jr. in his circuit in Central Mindanao. His wife, Mrs. Lorna Rosario, was also with him.
