Maj. Gen. Araus Robert Musico, the newly installed commander of Air Combat Command (ACC), visited the Western Mindanao Command in Zamboanga City on October 24, 2022.
The officers, enlisted personnel, and civilian human resources of WestMinCom warmly welcomed and rendered company-sized military honors to the distinguished visitor during his arrival at Camp Navarro, Calarian, this city, at 4:00 p.m. Monday.
He paid a courtesy call to WestMinCom Acting Commander Brig. Gen. Arturo Rojas at the Laong Laan Hall of the command. The primary and personal staff of Brig. Gen. Rojas joined him in welcoming Maj. Gen. Musico.
During their conversation, the two generals exchanged words of gratitude and commendation. They also vowed to support each other in their respective endeavors.
Maj. Gen. Musico was installed as the ACC Commander on October 17. The Air Combat Command is based at Edwin Andrews Air Base, Sta. Maria, Zamboanga City. It is a unit of the Philippine Air Force that provides forces for tactical air and special operations in support of the accomplishment of the AFP mission.
The two-star general is also the concurrent Air Force Inspector General who oversees the performance of the mission, state of morale and discipline, efficiency, and effectiveness of the Philippine Air Force. Maj. Gen. Musico began his military career in 1986 when he entered the Philippine Military Academy. He subsequently joined the US Air Force Academy as a BS Electrical Engineering Cadet and graduated in 1990.
