The Western Mindanao Command is holding a three-day Doctrine Advocacy Program from October 25 to 27, 2022. The conduct of the activity is facilitated by the Armed Forces of the Philippines Education, Training and Doctrine Command (AFPETDC) through the Joint Doctrine Development Center (JDDC).
Col. Irvin Tanap, the director of JDDC paid a courtesy call on WestMiNCom Acting Commander, Brig. Gen. Arturo Rojas at the Laong Laan Hall at Camp Navarro, Calarian, this city on Tuesday afternoon, October 25.
According to Col. Tanap, the purpose of the Doctrine Advocacy Program is to cascade the Revised AFP Doctrine Development System. They will also provide updates on the AFP Doctrine Development activities, including the newly promulgated and recently approved interim doctrine manuals and ongoing doctrine development project.
The activity is conducted through blended mode (face-to-face and video teleconference). It is participated by the deputies of the unified command staff, the special and personal staff of the commander, and the intelligence, operations, and civil-military operations officers of the Joint Task Forces and OPCON units.
WestMinCom Acting Commander, Brig. Gen. Arturo Rojas commended the AFPETDC for facilitating this activity. “Educational activities such as this are crucial in our day-to-day activities. It is good to keep our officers and personnel abreast of the latest standard operating procedures because they are the major role players in our organization.”
