Zamboanga City is currently undergoing a surge in COVID – 19 cases. Hospitals are at critical levels and it takes a while before one can be admitted at any of their hospitals of choice. If one gets admitted, there is shortage of anti-COVID medications. Most of the time, the patient would be outsourcing these medicines from other places outside Zamboanga. Even the very basic Medical Oxygen supply gets depleted and the city would have to source the raw materials from Cebu. In short, this is the worst time and worst place to get COVID infection. But, on a positive note, we are soldiers trained to face all forms of adversaries. With that let us keep each other safe, this is the best time for our Military Personnel to practice and adhere to the Minimum Health Standards as mandated by Armed Forces of the Philippines in the Letter Directive number 33 GHQ, AFP dated 27 August 2021.

Below is a tabulated summary of standards set forth by AFP for its personnel during the Biosafety Alert Condition 5, or commonly known as ECQ & MECQ (Enhanced Community Quarantine & Modified Community Quarantine).
